Replacement program for the RECARO Zero.1 seat
We have decided to voluntarily implement a replacement program for the RECARO Zero.1 child seat. Only a clearly defined production lot is affected. You will receive a replacement product free of charge.
Quality and safety are extremely important to us. We thus test our products conscientiously and on an ongoing basis, as well as systematically review market feedback from our retail partners. During this process for the RECARO Zero.1, it was found that a strap adjuster with limited functionality may have been installed during a specific production period. As a result, this means that in the affected seats one of the straps that secure the child may become loose during use. When the seat is installed facing forward, this could lead to greater movement of the child and thus impair the child’s safety in the event of an accident. The affected seats can be clearly identified by their serial numbers. The RECARO Zero.1 Elite model is not affected by this problem.
Because the safety of our customers is our highest priority, we have voluntarily decided to implement this replacement program.
Effective immediately, you can use a specially designed online tool at safety.recaro-cs.com to check whether your seat is affected and register for the exchange, if applicable. We have also set up a hotline to answer questions. The hotline service team can be reached daily from 6 AM to 10 PM CET by dialing 0800-6863 560 from Germany or +49 (0) 9255 77-66 from outside of Germany. All questions can be answered in German or English.
In the interest of our customers’ safety, we are implementing this program to ensure that the affected product will no longer be used. We expressly recommend using the old seat only in a rear-facing position until the replacement product arrives.
